Athens Journalist, Kennesaw Taylor speaks to PALS Students on Writing as a Form of Expression

Women to the World, a non-profit service organization, brought Kennesaw Taylor, a seasoned, unconventional journalist to speak at the weekly life skills course last week for the women of the PALS program (Partnering Ambassadors for Life and Service). PALS is a one on one mentoring program proved for free to women in need. Women to the World, through the PALS program provides skilled lecturers to come to speak on topics essential to leading a successful, prosperous life. This past week, Kennesaw Taylor revved up the students with striking stories from his experiences, followed by an inspirational lecture on how to write one’s feeling out.

The women of PALS had an opportunity to share their stories through written word. Kennesaw taught the women that despite their backgrounds, home-life or upbringing, whether good or bad, they could use writing as an escape. He encouraged the women to use their imaginations to create beautiful works through written art form as means of healing and preservation of peace.

Women to the World would like to thank Kennesaw Taylor for taking the time to provide such a beautiful gift to the students of the PALS program.

Uma Wang RTW Fall 2012
Despite the quickly evolving mutual fascination between China and the West at the luxury fashion level, the relationship remains incredibly one-sided in one respect: A major, or even minor, Chinese designer has yet to emerge out of the motherland. But the name circulating as a breakthrough contender is Uma Wang, who studied at China Textile University and Central Saint Martins before launching her label in 2005.
